Since founded in 1992, the Air Pollution Control Laboratory has been focusing on investigating the distribution of trace toxic pollutants (mainly dioxin) in ambient air and developing innovative and economical air pollution control technologies. In recent years, one of our research topics is to clarify the characteristics of dioxin emitted from various sources (such as municipal waste incinerators, electric arc furnaces and sintering plants) and evaluate the efficiencies of different control technologies adopted for reducing dioxin emission. Additionally, we have also been devoted to the application of non-thermal plasma technologies on air pollution control and hydrocarbon reforming for hydrogen production. We have demonstrated that the energy efficiency and products’ selectivities could be effectively improved by integrating non-thermal plasma with catalysis.
本研究群自成立以來即以發展新穎之空氣污染物控制技術及掌握環境中毒性空氣污染物流佈為主要之研究方向,近幾年來的研究主軸主要分為垃圾焚化廠、電弧爐煉鋼廠以及金屬冶煉製程排氣中戴奧辛之排放特性掌握及控制效率評估戴奧辛控制及近幾年來則針對國內蓬勃發展之半導體產業其於製程中所產生含氟之溫室效應氣體的去除機制進行研究,嘗試結合現行之觸媒技術及先進之電漿技術針對以上污染物之去除效率及產氫效率進行深入之研究。
